Looking for a third party insurance that covers maternity in ontario. We don't have an OHIP as we are still waiting for our implied status.

Does anyone here have an idea? Or have experienced the same situation with us?

If you are pregnant then you will not get coverage for “pre-existing condition” plus coverage would not cover general visits, U/S, blood work etc. It would only cover emergency situations.

Any of the large insurers will provide limited coverage as long as the policy is purchased before the person becomes pregnant.

If the person is already pregnant, then it's too late to obtain coverage.

If you are applying for restoration of status and a new WP it could take 6+ months with no guarantees of approval for your WP. Will your spouse even qualify for a SOWP under new rules? What is your Tier? If tier 2 or 3 what NOC?

You get into a car accident without insurance . You go attempt to get car insurance to cover the accident that’s already happened

You won’t get insured
