Canada has no fiance sponsorship class.

You must have been sponsored as either a common law partner (which would have required the two of you to live together for at least one full year first) or as a conjugal partner (which would have required you to prove that it is impossible for you to get married or live together to become common law).

If you applied as conjugal, this may be the reason why the processing of your file is taking such a long time.

It's going to be impossible for any of us to answer your question. Your case has gone beyond normal processing times and for this reason it's not possible to say what you should expect.

How exactly did you apply for PR, was it under common-law or conjugal?

If common-law, did you show proof of 12 months cohabitation?
If conjugal, what were your barriers to getting married or becoming common-law?

You didn't answer the question, but from your response it sounds like you submitted a conjugal application? And used a temporary illness and her job contract as your barrier to not get married?

If that is the case, I'm not surprised at the long processing time. And very sorry to say but nothing you mentioned really constitutes a legal or immigration barrier to getting married so unfortunately I wouldn't be surprised if your case is ultimately rejected in the end as not meeting definition of conjugal. Unless perhaps you did a common-law application and had lived together 1 year?

You still haven't answered the question we keep asking. How did you apply? Common law or conjugal? It sounds like conjugal.
