Me (25) and my bf (20) has been together for 9 months, we met online.
We are very serious about our relationship, we love each other so much, we talk for hours everyday.

Now I'm in Canada to visit him for a month, we are living together in this one month.
Everything goes well, we really get along even it is our first time to meet each other in real life.
And we love each other so much.

After meeting each other in real life, we really don't wanna be apart anymore.
Since he is still studying, we planned to get married once he graduate and get a job ( 2017 summer ).
What we are worrying is the visa thing.

We could only meet each other once a year.
Because of the money (The flight ticket is around CA$1000, and I have to rent a place here, food, transport...etc. And he is a student, he doesn't have income.) and time (I need to work, can't get many day off. And the flight is already around 20hrs :( ).
So before 2017 summer, we can only meet each other in real life twice in total. ( Now as one time, then 2016 around October I will visit again )
And both of us hate taking photo of ourselves.

Will the immigration department not believe us?
We only have scary long chat history and some photos. And we will only meet twice in total before getting married.....

Generally visa-exempt countries aren't scrutinized as hard as those from visa-required countries, but I don't know how they treat those from Hong Kong. But it's still a good idea to take a good number of photos, as well as wedding photos when the time comes.

Give the HKVO thread a read (note they also processes China applicants which is NOT visa-exempt, so people's experiences will differ).

Considering your financial situation you could consider applying inland, however the wait time is very long compared to outland. But, as of now and for the next year, inland applicants can apply for an OWP. I don't know if it will still be the case by 2017 though.
