LONDON VISA PROCESSING TIMES

Hi Everyone

I applied for a study permit online in the UK on October 7 2013 andbut has now been 11 weeks and I have not heard anything yet. My classes start in 2 weeks and the Embassy will also be closed for Christmas and New Year during these 2 weeks aswell. I have emailed CIC many times aswell but they are not giving anything away as to when I will hear something. This is really frustrating as the normal processing times have passed and I fear that there is no chance that I will hear anything before 6 January 2014 and will therefore miss my start date. I am very worried as I have paid my fees and wanted to know what will happen if I do not hear anything in time? My college said the latest I can start is 10 January which is only 4 days later. Please help!

hi,
dont worry about the college deadline. they will only ask u to pay a late fine but just hope u get a positive response from the embassy. also, mail your college about the present situation and let them know is beyond your control as they know sometimes the embassy delay application.
they can then give u an option of postponing ur program since u have make the payment. so no worries.

i applied middle of October .. still nothing from them, i email them to ask the status, they replied only today 23rd december, Saying my application is on queue for processing..... does it means they not even starting to process mine, they say on queue....i mean since middle october lord help me .

I think it means that they have not started processing it yet because they told me it meant that it was still awaiting officer review. Its so ridiculous that it takes over 3 months to process a study permit application.

The guy that submitted in same office , just a week before mine... they already finalise his application since first week of December, althou it was REFUSAL. and that week My school wrote me twice about my visa status, so i sense chc contact them about my LOA.. i think so... coz lets say school wrote me monday to ask about it, i respond and wednesday they wrote again to ask...................with Canada you cant just plan much ahead.. better receive visa first before serious plan....

I also applied from London but on 27 November. Online Application goes to ottawa to be considered so London visa office can't do anything. They just ask for Passports to issue a vida if application goes through.

has anybody heard about their applications?? 12 weeks and 4 days left for classes to start.
