Hi All,

I thought of sharing my timelines if it may help anyone.

Nationality: Indian
Status: Tier 1 Migrant in UK
Location: London, UK
Applied for: Multiple visits
Online Application Date: 25 October 2013
Passport Request Received: 13 November 2013
Passport sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery: 14 November 2013
Passport reached CHC London: 15 November 2013
Passport dispatched by CHC London: 19 November 2013 (Using the Special Delivery self-addressed return envelope that I sent)
Passport received with visa: 20 November 2013

The entire process took 25 days. In my opinion, the process to obtain a visitor visa for Canada is so exhausting. I have traveled several times across Europe, US, Middle East and Far East Asia and no other country makes such a big deal about visit visas. Never have I had to wait more than 5 days to obtain a visitor visa.

Cheers

Hi KayDee,

Thanks for sharing the information.

Can I ask where and how you applied online for a Multiple Entry Visa?
I am looking through CIC website but found no option for Multiple Entry, only Single Entry.

Thanks!
:)

I applied for the visa online by creating the usual account on MyCIC. The application form IMM5257E has an option 3) *Visa Requested, where you should select 'Multiple'. Further, at the time of submitting the application through MyCIC, you would need to make payment for Multiple Visa Fee.

Thanks for the info. I'll give that a try. ;D

Hi guys,

What are the different/additional requirements that I need to submit if I will apply for a multiple entry TRV?
I am planning to apply for CRNBC and most probably, will be asked to take the SEC exam.
Does anyone know if I can use the SEC exam as a reason for the multiple entry application?

Thank you so much! :)
