I'm hoping to send all my documents to London in the next 2 weeks. I'm then thinking of going to Canada on my passport for potentially 6 months.

Does anyone know or have experience on what happens if I am out of the country when medical/passport is requested.
If I just change my address on the website will they still request my medical from Canada or will it delay my application for FSW 1?

Please help anyone.

Hello,
Sorry for not making myself clear.

I live in England, I have my AOR from Buffalo to send my stuff to VISA office London. Which I am hoping to do in the next 2 weeks.

In July I am thinking of going to Canada on my passport for 4-6 months. Just wondered what happens if I get the go ahead to
have my medical/send passport etc.
I will inform them of my change of address but will that delay my medical request? will I be able to get it done in Canada....etc

Thanks

Good evening Morning :D

Your not being in the UK (or wherever your address for correspondence is) does not affect your application processing. In fact, most probably you will not receive your medical requests (or passport request which may come together with, or follow, the medical request) until after 4 or more months have elapsed since your documents reach the Canadian High Commission London.

And in the unlikely event that your medical requests would be sent to you while you are still in Canada, you always have the option to find a designated medical practitioner in Canada and carry out the medical examinations there.

I can think of two things you could do while submitting full applications and supporting documents to the London CHC:

1. Write a cover letter explaining that you have travel commitments and so you would prefer being contacted through e-mails.

2. Make sure that the mail address you mention on your application forms remain valid throughout the period and that you will be informed as soon as any mails arrive on this address (I mean, any mail addressed to you). You can have these mails redirected to your Canadian address. This is of course a safety measure only, just in case someone at the CHC London mistakenly ignores your foregoing request and sends documents here at your postal address.

Finally, if you suspect a communication gap between between you and the CHC, you can always e-mail the CHC at regular intervals to enquie about any missed communication.

Hope this was useful..... //

Hello,

Thanks for that information, that is really helpful.

So I could have the medical in Canada if it is requested when I am out there? That would make things easy.
I am a little concerned about putting the information on the cover letter as I would not be totally sure when and if I will go.

But if I ask them to send corrispondence by e-mail and if I do go to Canada and u date change of address then hopefully that will be OK?

I have looked on the website but can't find this information anyhwere.

Thanks for the advice.......
