Hello,
My mother U.S. visitor visa got denied recently. On the LOE, we want to explain what happened. Is this a good explanation? :
"I am writing to provide additional information about this situation. Unfortunately, I was recently denied a US tourist visa because the agent did not believe I would return to Brazil after my visit. I was interviewed on March 2022, at the US Embassy in Rio de Janeiro.
I want to assure you that this decision was a misjudgment, as I am a 68-year-old widowed housewife with two sons and two daughters back in Brazil, along with 6 grandchildren whom I adore. I have deep roots in my home country, including ownership of an apartment and two cars, and have no intention of overstaying my visa in either the US or Canada.
My only reason for wanting to visit Canada is to visit my son, who is a Canadian citizen and has been living in Canada since 2018. I have never had the opportunity to visit him in Canada since he immigrated. I also have a two-year-old granddaughter which lives in Canada with my son and his family; being able to spend time with my Canadian family is very important to me.
I applied to US visa to have the opportunity to have a flight connection in US on my way to Canada. And as a secondary reason, I was also hoping to be able to accompany one of my daughters on a trip to Disney parks in Orlando, which is why I applied for a US tourist visa, that would serve both purposes.
I understand the importance of providing accurate and truthful information on my visa application, and I want to assure you that I have done so in this case. I believe that my intentions are genuine, and I have provided all relevant information about my personal situation and ties to Brazil to demonstrate that I have no intention of overstaying my visa."
Thank you very much for your input.
