Hi everyone,

I'm seeking advice on what details to include in a TRV application. Both parents are PR holders, and our baby was born outside of Canada. We're planning to move back, but I understand that the TRV may be rejected since there's no apparent reason for leaving Canada. I want to be as thorough as possible to avoid any issues or delays. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,
We are in the same situation, how did you proceed and what about the LOE, should we be clear about the intent to file for sponsorship to get the trv for the babies.
Anyone's help and advice is welcome.

If one parent is already in Canada would start the sponsorship first. Do you meet your RO?

Both parents are outside Canada, did softlanding and returned home, we are still respecting RO.
Please we want to apply for trv for our children (twin) born outside of Canada but the problem is we are intending to apply for sponsorship once in Canada, should we explain this in the application? Also about the duration if we say a month but we intent to settle down is it considered false declaration?
Thank you for your reply.

I would not have said a month if you intend on settling in Canada. You should have been honest. I would suggest you try to amend your application.

I answer after trv approval, in the duration said 3 months, and explained in the letter about the situation and that we will apply for sponsorship once in Canada.

Hi guys, I'm in the same boat as you guys. Can you please guide me with the LOE for applying for the TRV? @Andro25 @artk0ch

Soft-landed in June 2023, planning to move permanently by Dec 2025 (Still within the RO).

It doesn’t have to be complicated. Explain your plan to move to Canada to settle permanently and that you would like your child to accompany you, will sponsor them as soon as in Canada, proof of funds to support them, plan to purchase private medical insurance when/if they don’t qualify for provincial healthcare, etc.
