Local Office

Hi,

Does anybody know in what basis the applications are distributed among local offices? I have received different answers from CIC agents, e.g., it is based on the postal code of residency or it is based on the how busy the local offices are. I no longer trust whatever CIC agents advise. I have seen lots of counter-examples to whatever they say!

Depends on where you are. I suppose the various offices in the GTA can move things around depending on workload. If you are in Manitoba, you are stuck with the slow arse Winnipeg office.

I am in Toronto. I was said my local office would be Scarborough (which is very busy) and in another occasion I was told it is based on the how busy the offices are!

Judging by some of the experiences posters here have reported, if you are in the GTA your file could be moved around.
