LMO opinion expiry -- FW must apply to CIC for a work permit

Hi all,

I have a Question about LMO opinion expiry and WP application.

The LMO has something which says, LMO Opinion expiry date is "10-Nov-2012".
And it says " Please take note that the Foreign Worker must apply to CIC for a work permit prior to this date. "

For visa, I'd filled and submitted "Application for a Work Permit made Outside of Canada(IMM1295)". Got the Visa stamped also(in India).


Read somewhere that "Border Services officer" gives the Workpermit papers at port of entry.
But the question here is ,
Do i need to enter Canada before 10-Nov-2012, or since I already have a visa stamped against this LMO(both Valid till May-2013), Can I enter Canada after 10-Nov-2012 say in Dec-2012 ?

if not sure ask your employer .... or agent ... as i am sure nobody wait for almost 2 months in home country after getting visa.

1. No. You had to apply for the work permit prior to that date, which you have done. You can enter Canada up to the validity date of the TRV, May 2013.
