Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I created this thread to help applicants on how to prepare their requirements in applying for TWP. (This includes myself :), my LMO was forwarded to me by my employer last Nov 24, 2012 and I have to submit my TWP application as fast as I can. Please help me to complete it.)

1. Work certificate indicating job description
Should the monthly salary included?

2. Freelance work certificates
I am a freelance IT Consultant, I have no business title but my clients can provide certificates. Some are voluntary and paid work.
Will that be enough? Do I also need to declare how much I get?

3. TOR Diploma (High School, College)
Do I need to get my TOR and Diploma in my secondary education as stated in the chekclist (high school) ?

4. NBI
I applied VISA CANADA as the purpose. Was it correct?

5. Police clearance
Do I need to get police clearance or NBI is already enough?

6. Birth certificates my children
Do I need this?

7. Marriage certificates
Do I need this?

9. Job offer
Does it need to be send via courier or email is enough?

10. LMO
Does it need to be send via courier or email is enough? My LMO was sent via email attachment (PDF file)

11. Proof of funds
I have no idea how much? But I found in some thread that the amount should be 10000CAD, but others say 2500CAD. Any ideas?
I don't have a passbook account, I only have ATM account. Does an ATM account enough?
I don't have money in the bank but I have money in cash form. Will that be enough? Should I deposit it to my ATM bank account?

12. Proof of personal property
My car and lot is not in my name. I don't have any more personal property that is within my name. What should I do? Can I transfer it to my name before the VO call for an interview?

Please add if i missed something.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Btw, I have 6 months gaps in my work experience, will this be ask by the VO?
I have an employment for only 3 months. I am relocating to far location and decided to left the company in order to make the move. I did not include this company in my work experience

1. Work certificate indicating job description
Should the monthly salary included?in resume you dont declare; in the cic application form if it stated to declare it then include it,

2. Freelance work certificates
I am a freelance IT Consultant, I have no business title but my clients can provide certificates. Some are voluntary and paid work.
Will that be enough? Do I also need to declare how much I get?
most likely declare it since it that's the only proof that you are making transaction with them aside from their endorsements

3. TOR Diploma (High School, College)
Do I need to get my TOR and Diploma in my secondary education as stated in the chekclist (high school) ?high school and some college is more ideal esp. your IT expertise must be proven where did you ever get the training to become an IT consultant. this is the so called consistency to whatever you declare. claim

4. NBI
I applied VISA CANADA as the purpose. Was it correct?that's correct

5. Police clearance
Do I need to get police clearance or NBI is already enough?from my own experience and according to checklist philippine sside it did not tell to get also police clearance.

6. Birth certificates my children
Do I need this?include it since you enumerate your spouse and children

7. Marriage certificates
Do I need this?provide it as well, if no marriage take place, just declare common law/ domestic partner

9. Job offer
Does it need to be send via courier or email is enough?if send thru courier is ideally good. from my experience, signed by the employer then they email it to me, i printed it then i signed it with it's date and location/place

10. LMO
Does it need to be send via courier or email is enough? My LMO was sent via email attachment (PDF file)if already emailed to you just print it . the vo will verify its genuiness and validity

Should I deposit it to my ATM bank account?
ask for bank statement that the bank really provide even if you are just using ATM. ideally stuff all your money in your atm and if you can raise at least 5000cad is good enough then that's the time you will ask for bank statement

12. Proof of personal property
My car and lot is not in my name. I don't have any more personal property that is within my name. What should I do? Can I transfer it to my name before the VO call for an interview?
whatever you declare on your application must stand. ideally you should have transferred it under your name when including it in your application package. if you will wait to be asked by the vo on the proof of ownership chances are it becomes unbelievable in the senses of vo. i myself i will not buy that if i were a vo.

Please add if i missed something.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Btw, I have 6 months gaps in my work experience, will this be ask by the VO?it depends on the outlook and gut feel of the vo how he will regard it including the one you are declaring below
I have an employment for only 3 months. I am relocating to far location and decided to left the company in order to make the move. I did not include this company in my work experience

Thanks again OUT your answers really help me.

I'm applying for Computer Network Technician NOC2281 and will be deployed in Ontario.

Sometimes there were no projects from my clients. Since my wife is also a freelancer, I am able to get projects from her. Does the amount I earned from freelancing will be questioned?

Do you think it is necessary to include personal property?

Is the application package also the application form?

Did I missed something in my list of requirements?

if it's really yours, its yours...

the way you present yourself as a freelance IT consultant deals a lot of convincing premises to the vo. firstly, the vo frowns of not paying taxes. probably and i think that is also their scale and barometer identifying self employed category. if and when the vo will ask for your income tax return can you prove something? in terms of sss, can you prove again that as a self employed you are also enrolled yourself in sss as self employed member. the vo is looking every angle where he can rule out how are you doing as a freelance or self employed? i hope i am wrong. but vo sorry to say are vicious. they don't stop looking for loopholes till they get contented and their gut feel must be super satisfied.

@ Xbrandon,

I think I already post a requirements mostly required by CEM in the other thread you started. :)

You already pleased your employer, now is the time you have to win the favor of the Visa Officer. It will always depend on how you will present yourself in terms of the documents you will provide to the embassy. As a rule of thumb, the more docs you submit that will prove your eligibility for the visa, the more chances you have of getting it.
So if you fill up that you are a freelance IT consultant, show proof that you are doing it in the right direction, like business name and registration, Income tax and SSS. But again if you don't have any, then provide a cover letter giving your reasons.
Though I am still waiting for my results, my reasons are only based on putting myself in the VO's situation. They are trying to evaluate a lot of individual with different work application and safe to say that they are only familiar with some of those occupation.
Most of the time the reason why they refused an application are (1) You did not prove that you will come back. (2) lack of funds (3) Eligibility to the job applied for.
Some would say they their VO was kind or they got the visa even though they did not submit this and that; God bless them. But for us, we have to increase the probability of getting approve by simply providing the VO with lots of information that will gain their positive approval.

2 cents worth :)

Use this guide for your application:

Thank you JB and OUT

I started not paying taxes when I left my last employer last April 2012. So its been 7 months now that I did not pay my taxes. Can you give me an idea on what to write in the cover letter?

The only proof i can show to the VO is the certificates that I can get from my clients :( .

Does the amount I earned from doing freelancing really matters with the VO?
(not all are paid work, some of it are voluntary work)

Do i need to prove with the VO that I (as individual) is financially stable?

Please help me solve my issues :( :( :(

I started not paying taxes when I left my last employer last April 2012. So its been 7 months now that I did not pay my taxes.
YOUR INCOME TAX RETURN OF 2011 WILL DO THE JOB. BUT IF YOU JUST STARTED TO BE A FULLTIME FREELANCE AFTER ARPIL 2012 AND CANNOT SHOW ANY BUSINESS LICENSE; AT LEAST YOU PRESENT AN ISSUED OFFICIAL RECEIPT IDEALLY UNDER YOUR NAME AS PROPRIETOR. THIS MAY SOUND COMPLICATED BUT YOU ARE ESTABLISHING YOUR BEING A FREELANCE IT CONSULTANT (SELF EMPLOYED). IT'S YOUR CHOICE - TO BE OR NOT TO BE PRESENTING A VALID OR. YOU CAN THINK OF THIS IF YOU PLAY VO.

Can you give me an idea on what to write in the cover letter?ASK JB ABOUT IT IF IT'S OK. I BELIEVE JB HAS AN INKLING ALREADY TO THAT.

The only proof i can show to the VO is the certificates that I can get from my clients. Does the amount I earned from doing freelancing really matters with the VO?(not all are paid work, some are voluntary work)
WHAT YOU ARE ESTABLISHING HERE IS YOUR PRESENT JOB BEING A SELF EMPLOYED. YOUR JOB MUST BE REALISTIC TO BECOME YOUR CAREER AS YOUR BREAD&BUTTER. COMMON SENSE IF NOT SUSTAINABLE THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG OF HOW THINGS GOING ON WITH YOU IN THE EYES OF VO.

Do i need to prove with the VO that I (as individual) is financially stable?
EVERY APPLICANT SHOULD BE IN VO'S SENSIBILITY SO IF WORSE COMES TO WORSE YOU WILL NOT BE PUBLIC CHARGE TO THE GOV'T OF CANADA.

Please help me solve my issues :( :( :

In my own opinion, the VO has no concern on how much you are making in your profession but counts the paid experience you have for the job you declare in your application. This means that any voluntary works will not accumulate as part of your experience but can be presented as additional documents as long as you have proofs and references. Any unclear docs - They may conduct background checks.
Financial stability I think will affect 2 factors (1) That you will have reason to come back to PH and (2) You can sustain yourself if the JOB OFFER only meets minimum wage in the state or province of Canada where you will work.

Again to relieve you with all the tensions, give your VO the reason why to give you their approval.
It is better to do it right the first time :)

1. Work certificate indicating job description
Should the monthly salary included? Certificate of experience usually includes job title/short description of duties, when started, salaries and benefits that come with the remuneration package on a letterhead of the company.

2. Freelance work certificates
I am a freelance IT Consultant, I have no business title but my clients can provide certificates. Some are voluntary and paid work.
Will that be enough? Do I also need to declare how much I get?
Your contracts with the entities/ITR should support these certifications.

3. TOR Diploma (High School, College)
Do I need to get my TOR and Diploma in my secondary education as stated in the chekclist (high school) ? Yes; the Canadian Embassy in the Philippines usually asks that these supporting papers are authenticated at DFA

4. NBI
I applied VISA CANADA as the purpose. Was it correct? yes

5. Police clearance
Do I need to get police clearance or NBI is already enough? No, NBI clearance is enough

6. Birth certificates my children
Do I need this? If it's asked for on the checklist and it's applicable.

7. Marriage certificates
Do I need this? see number 6

9. Job offer
Does it need to be send via courier or email is enough? Copies of LMO, job offer and contract has to be part of the application package (see checklist.

10. LMO
Does it need to be send via courier or email is enough? My LMO was sent via email attachment (PDF file) Print the PDF file and send it with the package.

Bank Certification is enough; if you're applying for a work visa/permit, there's no minimum requirement, contract would show financial
capability once in Canada, but a "fat" bank account would help.

12. Proof of personal property
My car and lot is not in my name. I don't have any more personal property that is within my name. What should I do? Can I transfer it to my name before the VO call for an interview?
You don't have to show any properties if you don't have them in your name and if you'll have them under your name just before you send in your application would seem a bit suspicious.

Please add if i missed something.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Btw, I have 6 months gaps in my work experience, will this be ask by the VO?
I have an employment for only 3 months. I am relocating to far location and decided to left the company in order to make the move. I did not include this company in my work experience
