LMO for all jobs necessary?

Hi there,

I have a question to the LMO letter, because I would like to extend my working visa here. Do I need this LMO letter for every job or are there exceptions?
My visa expires in May 2014 and I know that it can take up to 4month until a decission is made from the Employment and Social Development Canada (EASDC), if that would take longer than my expiry date on my visa, would that mean I have to leave or does that mean I can still stay in Canada until a decision is made?
I know, I have to do that before even contacting the CIC or do I let them know, that a LMO letter is in process, because I know they make the final decission about extending the visa. (For example I would get that letter just in June and not in May, that means my Visa would be expired, does that mean I have to leave, before it expires or can I still stay and work in Canada?)

I hope I haven't confused you guys too much and I find this forum very helpful and read through so many topics. I hope someone can help me out and I say thank you a zillion times already!!

You haven't provided any information about yourself (what kind of work permit you have, your job, where you're from) - so it's not possible to confirm if an LMO is required in your case.

so sorry for that...I'm from Germany and I'm here on a Work and Holiday Visa (that means my employer is open and my occupation too) and I applied for a couple of different jobs, cafés, bakery, but also admin work. So far I didn't get a positive answer from anyone and now I'm concerned, that it's going to be too late, to apply for an extension. My Visa is valid until 17.5.2014!
