Here is the case.
person's pgwp will expire in December. but he will get 12 month work experience in January. So before january he cannot apply for cec and brindging work permit.
Can he apply for lmo? Processing times for it is 8-12 weeks, be under implied status, get his 12 month work experience and then apply for CEC or brindging. Even if he will got negative lmo, he can leave the country and apply for cec out of canada. But he will already get his 12 months work experience buy that time, during waiting for lmo. Is that rigth?
 
Applying for an LMO doesn't give a person implied status.
 
So first i have to apply for extension of work permit then for lmo?
And one more think. I know that extension of work permit could be max 4 years. I got 3 years pgwp. But i got pregnant and didnt work and left Canada. CIC will take it into account and extend my work permit or not?
 
You need to apply for a new work permit before your current work permit expires to have implied status.

For your new work permit to be approved, you need an approved LMO. CIC will only extend your work permit if you have an approved LMO.

If you wasted your PGWP, I don't think that CIC would be at all interested in the reasons. It's a one-shot deal and non-extendable.

It depends on the Skill Level. Lower skilled NOCs are affected. I think 0 and A are not.

TFWs are asked to keep thorough records to clearly document the time they have spent working in Canada. The worker must be able to provide to the CIC or CBSA officer documents that prove there were breaks from work during the time period covered by their previous work permit. Examples of legitimate breaks from work would include:
•Extended unpaid leave.
•Parental leave.
•Periods of unemployment.

If the officer is satisfied, the cumulative duration calculation would be adjusted.

It's not accurate to say a work permit "can only be extended for four years". There is a limit on the time you can spend as a temporary foreign worker, but there are a lot of exceptions.

This is very true. Just working out the maths is going to be "interesting" for most applicants. In the case of the OP, the period spent not working, even though she held a PGWP, would have to be deducted from the four year limit on any future work permits issued. Therefore, she might well be able to get at least another couple of years...
 
So that means i can apply to extend my work permit, if i show that i was out of country due to my pregnancy? Or i still need to get lmo first and then apply for extension? Do u have any official emails of Cic to ask these questions?
 
You can't extend the PGWP, but you should be OK with an LMO application to get a normal work permit.
 
In my lmo do i have to show that i was out of country? And i am not yet sure if my boss will applt for lmo? Is that difficult process? As i know, it is not necessery to advertise the position anymore. Any other challenges for bosses?
