Two questions:

1) My agent has applied for my work permit, after the employer got an LMIA w/PR Support approval. If I decide not to work for the employer (prior to WP approval), can the processing or approval of my WP be stopped?

2) If I quit after I get my work permit, can I get it exchanged to open work permit?

1. Yes WP processing will be stopped. You are require to inform IRCC if you no longer plan on working for the employer on a closed WP.
2. No you don’t qualify for an OWP. If you quit you’d need to find an employer with an approved LMIA and apply for another closed WP.
