LMIA WORK PERMIT ISSUE WITH THE OWNER

Hey guys..

I was invited to apply for EE without additional 600 points from the LMIA. Then, I submitted my application in September.

Later on, the LMIA work permit approved and it seemed like the cic gave me additional points in the middle of the reviewing process. And this is where I'm currently working.

Now, I'm on 4.5 months waiting period for PR decision but here is the problem. The owner is not treating me with respect and he verbally and mentally harasses me. I have been putting up with the unfairness quite well, but today..I've reached my limit. I am in the state of emotional breakdown and no longer wishes to work for him.

So here is my question..
1)can I quit this LMIA job and still remain in Canada until the expiry date of my LMIA work permit, while waiting for the PR decision?

2)Will my work permit still valid that it will allow me to stay in Canada even after quitting?

3) If I quit, will it affect my current EE application? (Keep in mind that my invited scores were in the high 400s). And do I need to inform the government that I quit the job even if my EE application was only based on my own qualifications?

Please help. I've tried my best to work here but I feel so suffocated, miserableand, and being mistreated here.

Thank you all for your input..!

1) & 2) You can remain in Canada but you obviously can't work for anyone else.

3) You don't have to notify CIC. However if CIC discovers you are no longer with your employer your application will be refused. You should try to find a new employer and new LMIA.

Thank you. Ome more question..
How will my application be refused when my invitation wasn't based on the LMIA points? Perhaps I should just notify them my updated status..?

You probably won't necessarily have your application refused, but the CIC states that you have to update them if there's a change in your employment.
Honestly, I would just tough it out with your employer unless you are in real physical danger. You only have about a month and a half to go. Once you get pr approval you are free to do whatever you want without the worry of getting rejected. Also, unless you have something already lined up, it might take you over a month to find a new job.

As long as your CRS score doesn't fall below the threshold of the draw you were picked, your application is good in terms of CIC. No need to worry about it. Wish you good luck with your application.
