Hello Guys,

Please help if anyone have information about this.

1. My friend is on Open 3 yesrs workpermit ( Graduated from Canadian college), she’s working at a Community Centre and her employer is willing to apply for LMIA.

2. The real question is does she gets 50 points as soon as the LMIA gets approved or does she have to work there for an year to get those 50 points.

3. Working for an year her with average IELTS score she can get 450+ points but of she gets LMIA and without working for an year she’ll get about 460-70 points.

What is the better option

LMIA is a complicated process for you and employer ~ it has to be a position which cannot replaced by local citizen

some agencies charged CAD$10000-50000 for LIMA and it takes 3-4 months at least

if she can get 450+ then obviously it is a better option and she stills need to work 1 year for CEC with LMIA

Just work for one year or two, I am sure any international student can get more than 450 score easily, no need for LMIA
