Hello there,
My friend was in big trouble with her ex-employer who sponsored her LMIA and now she quit the job a few days ago.
She is now looking for another job who can sponsor her a new LMIA offered position, and there is one company who is willing to support her.
The thing is that this company is planning to sell their business in near future (they have no concrete plan yet when will be but it can be 2 months, 3 months, or 1 year after). What if my friend accepts this offer and keeps working for this offer and at some point, it will really happen that the company will shut down? I understand that when it really happens, her LMIA will be automatically cancelled and she will need to look for another job again who can sponsor her in order to keep staying and work in Canada, am I right?
Also, although the LMIA will be cancelled, is it possible that she can use the working experience that she will be obtained by the time the company will shut down towards CEC/FSW working experience later on?
Your advice will be really appreciated. Thank you.
