My potential employer has hired immigrants before successfully. I'm a qualified Diesel Technician from America. My employer sent in my Lmia request that can be used for permanent residency and work permit around February 14th and I have yet to hear back. Is anyone else having ridiculously long processing times? My employer's HR, who I've been in contact with, keeps trying to contact immigration and get either an update or a rush put on and (as far as I know) has yet to hear back. Did anyone else get theirs after a super long wait or do I need to just keep waiting and hoping?

This wait time is normal right now. LMIAs are under greater scrutiny now than they were previously. So processing times people experienced previously unfortunately no longer apply.

There is no way to get a rush on it.

People are certainly being approved it's just taking a long time.
