Hello,

Background: I am Canadian and my partner is European she is from a visa exempt country.

We have found a corporation for her who is doing the LMIA application for her.

Her salary is above the top 10% of earners in Ontario. The corporation lawyer mentioned that they always aim for the priority 10 day processing, but there are no guaranteed processing times right now due to Covid/delays.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with the priority LMIA processing, in your experience due they tend to stick to the 10 day processing time. The corporation lawyer is a leader in the industry, so we are hoping there are no mistakes in the application and she can qualify for the priority processing.

thanks in advance!

Best to assume processing will take a few months vs the 10 days. Yes, this is due to application volumes and backlogs.

Yeah I agree. I will keep the forum updated anyways. He has has some clients that have had their application processed in 10 days, but many are taking 4-8 weeks. It is annoying that they cannot really provide firm dates, causes quite a bit of headache and makes it difficult to plan for the future.

This sounds about right. Some people here are getting through in 10 days but I would say most are taking longer. Unfortunately nothing you can do but wait.
