LMIA Ontario median wage question

Hello

When apply for LMIA, the ESDC website says "Use the job title of the available position and conduct a search on Job Bank to determine the median wage for the occupation and work location where the TFW will be employed". So it refers to the stats from Job Bank, which are the stats of 2013-2014. But ESDC also has a table called "Median Hourly Wages by Province/Territory".

Now I'm confused.. My NOC is 2133, which has an insanely high median in Ottawa ($42) according to Job Bank. But in the mean time, the "Median Hourly Wages by Province/Territory" table from ESDC itself says the median wage is $22 in Ontario.

Which is the correct one? As a new grad, it's almost impossible to get $42/hour. Even my employer is willing to help, my wage would be the first barrier. What should I do?

You need to be looking at the wage that's specific to your NOC - not the general provincial one.

Yeah, looks like 38 is the median for NOC 2133 in most of Ontario.

Sigh...I was hoping to use the provincial median. The economic situation has changed a lot since 2014 and Job Bank still uses data from that year
