LMIA non skilled question

My friend has an open work permit and its about to expire. He has 350 points for EE. We have a non skilled LMIA . if he applies under a non skilled LMIA can he use the 600 points towards his EE score?

pretty sure the LMIA needs to be skilled to get 600 points, as EE is all about skilled workers. Open to being corrected though.

If you mean Skill Level B, that is allowed under the FSTP program.

For Federal Skilled Trades Program

be for at least one year of full-time work,
be Skill Level B (technical occupations and skilled trades) in one of the eligible occupations, and
have wages and working conditions comparable to those offered to Canadians working in the occupation.

Note: For the FSTP, the employment offer can be made by up to two employers.

EE allows only skill level 0/A/B. If your friend can get an LMIA on one of those jobs, good to go.
