My employer has mistakenly put a "Level of education" higher than my academic degree. They've put Bachelor's degree and I hold a College diploma. The NOC is 2174.
I'm wondering if that can lead to a Work Visa refusal.
At first I thought it wouldn't because the CIC website says: "Proof that you are eligible for the job (for example: a valid Canadian provincial or territorial trade certificate, educational requirements or past work experience outlined in a resume)." and I have 10 years of proven experience in computer programming.
And the NOC 2174 webpage states:
Employment requirements
Would my Work Visa application be denied?
Do you know anyone that was in the same situation and got either an approval or a denial?

- or
- Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.
- Specialization in programming for engineering and scientific applications requires specific post-secondary study or experience.
