LMIA from current employer

Hello

i wanted to apply LMIA tro my current employer so i can get 50 points for express entry. I went through the application form. It seems like the company can hire a person after LMIA approval.
Is that how it works?
or an employer can apply LMIA for its current employee to help with PR?

I tried to attach that section of the form here, but could not find how to attach a document/image here. sorry

More. Oe less lmia is for new job... and usually beyond that people apply under cec after 1 yr.
