Hello everyone,

I have completed my undergrad as an electrical engineer in Ontario and have been working for a tech company for the last 13 months. I am currently working with an open post-grad work permit.

Do I need to ask for a LMIA?

A side question, when they ask for education qualification, how exactly do I show that I graduated from a Canadian university? Do I need to get a transcript?

You can ask your employer but I strongly recommend that you understand the process completely before raising such a request because it has direct implications on your employment status.

Read the entire process here --->

This is what CIC says about Canadian education.

Proof of completed Canadian or foreign educational credentials can include copies of secondary or post-secondary education documents (certificates, diplomas or degrees); and transcripts for successfully completed secondary or post-secondary studies, if available.
