I was a temporary worker through IEC (therefore, LMIA waived). My work permit will expire soon and me and my boss are trying to figure it out the best way to keep me here permanently. Is that better to do the free LMIA process (which gives me the points for EE, but not a chance for the Work Permit) or there's no difference?
Besides, is there any specific application my boss can do to hand a LMIA to an actual employee (me) before my Work Permit expires? I've been looking through the CIC pages, but there's so much information that I find hard to find, and one of you guys might have had experience the same before.
