LMIA exempt work permit

I had applied for work permit under LMIA exempt section but it got refused saying I don't meet expectations of LMIA based work permit which I don't understand as I had applied under the LMIA exempt work permit now I have to apply for restoration of work permit any idea how long it will take as I have to resume work.

So your employer filed for and received LMIA exemption. How are you eligible for LMIA exempt work permit if you are in Canada? What is your current status? When did permit expire. You cannot resume work if restoring status until closed work permit is approved.

Do they give a correspondence letter just like they give in usual work permit letter that i can work until a decision is made?

Do you have a valid work permit? If not when did it expire?

Yeah as mentioned above i have applied for work permit and that’s why i am asking do they give a letter that says i am on applied status and resume work?

If your work permit expired, you are restoring status so cannot work until work permit approved. So no you don’t get a letter because your work permit expired.
