LMIA exempt number

My boss has applied for a LMIA exempt number , so that I can apply for francophone mobility work permit . My employer has applied for the number as received it but we do not have a copy of the receipt . Do we need this to apply for the work permit ? My lawyer said I do but I can’t find the information on the govt website
