LMIA CLOSED work permit

Hi.
I just got my LMIA. My employer pays me my salary on payroll biweekly. Is it any chance I can also prepare for him an invoice for extra piece work even though my work permit is tied with him . So basically he would pay me my hours on payroll and extra work on the invoice. The salary on the invoice would be under 30k per year.

That would make you also self-employed, which you are not allowed to do on a closed work permit.
