Hello all,

Can you please help me answer the following keeping in view an outland application, applying for the first time:

• Does the closed work permit process in any way differs due to the location of the job? e.g. in different provinces?
• Is there a requirement to show funds at any stage for closed work permit application?
• What is the usual duration of the closed work permit?
• Can we include spouse and dependent children in our initial application of the closed work permit?

1. Federal process: Your work permit will be tied to the province and city you will be working in.
2. Always good to show funds to settle in Canada since it is so expensive especially if bringing family
3. Decided at time of approval.
4. Yes if skilled job.
