LMIA Chances

Hi i would like to ask about LMIA chances of approval, i am in Toronto region (Mississauga) my NOC code is 2282 i have a employer who applyed for LMIA, but my main concern is , he did not interview any candidate when the job was posted for over a month (One of the requirements was DVI (optical program) knowledge and non of the candidates had that ) there were over 200 resumes send for that job position, also i am getting payed 21$/hr and i know median for that NOC code is over 26$, what are my chances to get positive LMIA ?

My guess is very low. Your employer needs to be paying you at least the median wage to have a decent chance of approval. Since your employer is underpaying you - this may be the reason why no one with DVI qualification applied - which would be a reason to refuse the LMIA. Generally speaking it tends to be difficult to get LMIAs approved for 2282 in the Toronto region given how many people with IT skills live here. Anyway - it's always possible the LMIA may be approved. Not much you can do but wait. Good luck.
