Hello! I would like to seek an advice what is the best thing to do. Last week I was planning to apply for a restoration but then suddenly this morning my employer said that our LMIA war approved. It's been 45 days now since I received the email that says I have 90 days to apply for a restoration. I checked the processing times for WP extension or restoration is 109 days. So long, is it possible to apply for a work permit at the border and not to apply for a restoration?

Thanks!

No - not possible. You have to be in status to apply for a WP at the border. Since you are out of status - you have to go through the restoration process.

thanks Scylla!

anyway is it possible to attach a copy of my approved LMIA for my restoration application? I was planning to do that, thinking that the officer will easily approve my restoration.

You must attach the LMIA to show you actually qualify for a new work permit.

Sorry to ask again, is it possible to apply both restoration and work permit at the same time? Any information would help. Thanks!

Yes, you should be applying to restore your status as a worker based on the LMIA.
