Hi,
I am a UK citizen and have been offered a job in British Columbia. It is a Foretsry job and my employer is prepared to sponsor me.
However I am confused as to which visa I should apply for and whether I am exempt from getting a positive LMIA to apply, and in which case can just apply for the international mobility programme visa?
I have researched this on the Government of Canada website, but I don't seem to be abe to find the answer. My emplyment is due to start in September, so any information would be much appreciated.
Or does anyone have any experinence of hiring a foreign worker under either of these visa's, so I can inform my new employer of anything he may need to do.

Many thanks, Rachael.

You need to meet one of the criteria under "who can be issued an open work permit" to qualify to apply:

Based on the information you have provided, I don't believe you qualify for an open work permit and will have to go the LMIA route. Your employer should start now. This process typically takes several months to complete.
