Dear Members,

I hope you all had a great day so far.

I have questions regarding LMIA:

1. Other than Jobbank Ad, and Kijiji, should be on a paid website like wowjobs, indeed, monster etc.? Is there any other FREE and acceptable form of advertisement and if yes, how is it going to affect the whole application? Negative or positive

2. The median wage for the job I am trying to advertise in Toronto,ON is 48.08 (min 22.00 max 66.67 what is the best wage I can offer to my employee? above median? if yes how much. Under median, if yes how much?

If there is any advise to support and strength the application, please let me know.

Thank you all in advance and wish you the best in your life.

1. I have heard that Service Canada is not accepting Kijiji. It has to be Job Bank for sure and you may wanna choose indeed, workopolis, careerbuilder, Canadajobs. There are some cases where LMIA was rejected due to lack in advertisement requirements, so you may not wanna take risk

2. It is better to offer the employee based on his experience. If he is enough qualified it is better to offer the employee just a little above median wage. Again, there is a guy in alberta whose LMIA was rejected as he was getting paid more than a canadian employee.

Too many things, Good Luck

I think it all comes down to luck and depending on what Visa officer you get on your case.

Too many contributing factors that can make your lmia go either way.

I dont really think it matters if you do cover what you think is everything, they will still find something.

Thank you for your answer. I called HRSDC and yes, you are right, KIJIJI is not a professional job website and is no longer an option.

BTW, I came across the Schedule C transition plan and kinda freaked out! Anybody has an idea what to do with this form? Me personally understand more ancient hieroglyph handwritings than this schedule C!!!!

Please help!

My Pleasure. Yes kijiji is crap, so they have removed that option

Schedule C looks scary, but if you read through it isnt too difficult. You can choose to go with one option , I guess number 4 if i am not wrong in which your employer can mention that he would help you in your PR application
