Hello everyone,I have a fewww questions to ask, presently I am living in Chile with my husband for the past 6 months under a temporary residence visa, if someone can help me with these questions I would appreciate it

1. I know I can sponsor him if i am "exclusivly" living here does this mean my temporary residence visa means this, and when we fill in the forms which we are doing at the moment do they get sent to the canadian embassy here in Chile or Mississauga Ont

2. I do not have all my information at hand and I am currently not working here, ie: T4 slips to show income, now my sister can get them and scan them and send to me, but also I do not have a bank account, I did when I left but I cannot access it anymore throught the internet nor the bank here, I think they have closed the account for some reason and I cannot interact with them via email, but will try calling them via phone today, but what if they have closed the account, I do not have anything for them, what I do have is cash only

3. Can I use the "fillable form" on acrobat to fill out the forms or do they want hand written, my husbands hand written is baaad lol

4. If I am approved to sponsor him, can I return to Canada to get things ready for us, A job? i do have a place already for us to live and can prove that

5.Question 1 on the sponsor ship application I really dont understand, about getting my refund if i am approved or not getting it, which is the best to check off here, I have read it several times and still am not sure

6. When and if we both get approved, how long do we have what is the time frame for us to get the ticket to return to Canada?

Thank you very much to whoever replies to this, I know this is a beggining of a long journey for us both and we both appreciate anyones help

Hello princess

1. Your TRV qualifies for the residence requirement in Chile, but there are also other requirements (e.g., you must be a Canadian citizen - not a permanent resident). Click the link for further info. You would send your sponsorship application to Mississauga, ON. When you received approval, you would send that along with your husband's PR application to Santiago.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3900E2.asp

2. You have to show evidence that you will reside in Canada at the time your husband becomes a permanent resident of Canada. See the link above.

3. Yes, you can use the fillable form.

4. Yes. That would be a good idea.

5. The difference has to do with whether you can appeal the decision. If you check the first box, "To Withdraw Your Sponsorship," you will get your application fees back minus $75, and you won't be able to appeal the negative decision. If you check the second box, "To Proceed With The Application For Permanent Residence," they will keep your application fees and you'll have the right to appeal the negative decision.

6. If your husband's PR application is approved, he will have 1 year from the date of his medical exam to enter Canada.

Hi and thankyou for your quick reply, Yes I am a true canadian, was born and raised there. So you are telling me I can fill out the sponsorship forms here is Chile and then mail them to Mississauga, then wait for a reply, then my husband sends in his immigration forms at that particular time to the Canadian Embassy here in Chile along with my forms saying that I have been approved to sponsor? And yes I have a place for us already to settle into when we return. Ok I understand that question more

thanks again
