Hi,
I am a PR and have lived with my Canadian wife outside of Canada for 4 out of last five years. I have however moved permanently to Canada since June-2013 and am settled here with my family and kids. My PR card expired on 16-Jun-2013. I want to renew my card at the earliest to be able to travel to the US on behalf of my Canadian employer. I would like to know should I apply now and mention the fact that I lived out of Canada with my Canadian spouse? If yes, then I don't have the following documents required as part of the PR renewal application:
"Additional documents of proof of residence in Canada in the past five (5) years
Include the following with your application:
Photocopies of all pages of all passports you held in the past five (5) years (if your stamps are not in English or French, please have them translated, see section on Translation of documents), and
A copy of one of the following:
- Other Income Tax assessments issued by Canada Revenue Agency within the past five (5) years, or
- transcripts from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada verifying attendance within the past five (5) years, or
for all school-aged children, written records verifying attendance within the past five (5) years.
-for all school-aged children, written records verifying attendance within the past five (5) years."
I can send all the pages of all my passports in the last 5 years but I don't have any of the other 3 documents required.
Will these documents be needed if my requirements are met by living with a Canadian spouse outside of Canada?
Many thanks!
