There is no such need. The only difference is that your work permit must have printed on it some thing like "not authorized the right to reentry". Which basically means that they cannot deny reentry if you are PR. But since a person on a work permit can be denied, they are clarifying this.

However, denial can only occur if there is some thing wrong with your details, visa is close to expiry - whatever. If you have six months plus in expiry and every thing else is in order, there is no need for any letter from employer. In case there is a problem, such a letter won't be of any use. You are already legally working in Canada is proven by your work permit etc. and if they are conscious about figuring out whether you still employed, they won't trust such a letter but rather would try to reach your employer.

If i were you and was soo worried, at best i would carry a recent pay stub along to show if needed that i have been employed until lately.

You are most welcome. As i said before - it is nothing to worry about. It merely means you do not hold the "right to enter Canada" as a PR does. You will be routinely checked the way CBSA checks any one on a visit visa or a temp worker, the way they did the first time and if all is okay, you can come and go as many times as you like.

Of course for a person holding PR, there are more privileges - they have the right to enter Canada so unless there are some criminal things or something, CBSA cannot deny entry to Canada to them, but they CAN deny us (those on work permits). However, it is okay in practice and as long as you have a valid visa / work permit you can come and go as you please. Just carry your proof of work along (work permit and stuff) and in case you are too conscious - like i said before, carry a recent pay stub. Other than that you are good
