Hello everyone! :) My mother sponsored me and my father in Canada but our applications are still on processed. At the start of our application, my father refused to go to Canada for some health reasons. But still the embassy sent a letter requiring him to undergo a medical examination. I've already undergone medical examination last month. My question is does he need to undergo medical examination even if he will not go to Canada? I went to the Canadian Embassy here in the Philippines and seek for this matter and they advised me to give a refusal letter stating that my father will no longer be part of the application for some health reason attached to it is the letter coming from the embassy (medical examination) and they also told us that we don't have to submit my father's requirement anymore like the CIC forms, birth certificate, passport, etc.) They told me also not to worry on my application because it won't affect mine. And my papers will be process soon. My question is do I need not to worry that my father's refusal won't affect mine? Thank you for your help guys! ;)

Your post is a bit confusing simply due to your subject Title: "Live-in Caregiver Program". Is it on the other hand really a Family Class application for PR? You had better explain this to "both" your parents if it's what I think it is. Should you proceed with what they are suggesting, do you (and your mother) realize that your father can "never" be sponsored as part of the Family Class EVER again?? It would be better for him to examined (but as "non-accompanying"), so that he is not forever excluded from this class of sponsorship.

That's what I think it means.

Sorry if it's a bit confusing. :) I don't have idea what's the title but my mother applied under Live In caregiver Program. My father is not going to Canada since the start of application due to some health reasons. But the embassy still send letter to us requiring my father to undergo medical examination. I went to Canadian Embassy here in the Philippines and they told me that my father need not to undergo medical examination we just have to attached a letter regarding on his condition and that he is not included in the application. They also told me that it will not affect on ny application. My question is do I need not to worry on ny applcation? And should I listen to the Canadian Embassy here in the Philippines? :) thanks!! Sorry for confusing you all :))

Your father must undergo and pass the medical. If he does not undergo and pass the medical, then your family's entire application will be refused.

But according to the Canadian Embassy here in the Philippines, my father need not to undergo medical examination, we just have to attach a letter saying that he refuses to undergo medical exam because he'a not capable because he's a but disabled and at first at the start of out application we stated there that he will not join in Canada because of his condition. He's from province and it will be hard for him to go to Manila juat to have medical examination because he cant walk and he has hypertension

RAallmendral, I'm sorry for what you are going through. Your father's situation is heartbreak. But please understand that the VO has to protect the entire Canadian population but ensuring only people who pass medical exam enter Canada. So try to figure out a way to take your father to one of the approved medical clinics.

According to Canadian Embassy here in the Philippines, if my father can't travel in Manila to undergo medical examination, we can simply right a letter attached to it is the medical exam requeat from embassy. The letter tells that he refused to undergo medial examination. And it's okay if he will not undergo because he's not going to Canada.
