@ eimo I think it is better if you call the CIC. I don't think it will take longer if you keep on following it up with them. You can't avoid the ''What ifs". The CIC agents are very nice. They will give you information on what is happening to your papers. Some would really pull out your profile and check what is happening. Just let them know your concern.

@ rosellyalung I just hope they can make it faster for those with dependents. Maybe 3-4 months after their medical....(wishing) Well, let us just keep on praying.

LC2 kit pa lang sila pero hopefully magkahimala para sa ting pinoy maging mabilis. Yung sa friend mo nagpamedical pa ba sya?

@angellois. No medical for her. First she received her owp and after 2 weeks she received another letter. The letter explained that she needs to pay the RPRF and bring the receipt with her at the immigration office with the address that they said, and other important documents for her interview.

@ sissy97 More or less 10-11 months processing for OWP. But after that I am sure everything will be faster than you think.

@ cedricjames My family just got a letter requesting for additional information which includes their Immigration File No. starting with "B". Then after a few weeks is their Medical Request.

@ eimo Since late yung processing fee, late din yung processing mo. But don't worry, everything will go smoothly as long as there is no other problem with your papers.

Opened CIC website and and check my status today...

"We received your application for permanent residence on January 18, 2010.

We started processing your application on March 24, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted."

Thank you! I'm not really sure what is next coz I got my OWP Dec 3. I know request for PR fee will be next but maybe in a few months...but still hoping it to be really early..

Mga kapatig question lang, I already submitted my owp and pr application last mar2010 and be expecting my OWP bet Feb and Mar (due to 11-12mos processing tagal) this year. Here's the thing im employeer already realeased me this january so di na siya magbabayad ng tax ko, ok lang ba yun total i already worked for her for almost 2 1/2 yrs at hindi ba nakaka affect yun sa processing ng owp at pr ko in the future. Salamat!

Sa tingin ko hindi naman as long as di ka magwork sa iba without a valid work permit. Ako wala ding employer for almost 6 months.

Thanks! Sana wala naman maging problema grabe almost 1yr din ang processing grabe ang tagal! 3 yrs na pala ako ngwork sa employer so siguro naman kahit release nya na ako walang mgging problema kasi tpos ko na yung 24 mos yung processing kasi ang nagpapatagal!

What do you mean, release ka din ng employer mo after mo matapos yung 2yrs mo sa kanya tpos wait mo nalang yung owp mo and pr n walang employer for 6mos? Salamat!
