try contact call center 1-888-242‑2100 then dial 1 2 7 enter your client ID number and other information.

Hi Everyone,

I called CIC agent today. He said that the status that show online saying "Application received" normally means they have open your envelope. I did ask specifically if my OPW has been issued, he didn't think so. He said normally it takes 4 months to get your OPW.

All in all, I'm glad that at least I can check my status online and hope and wish for my OPW will arrive soon!

My timeline:

CIC Received Application : August 20th, 2012
Received email to re-submit schedule A: October 31, 2012 (at 2 pm)
Received email confirmation application received: October 31, 2012 (at 10 pm)
Accessed status online : November 2, 2012

Still waiting for OPW

@rollingolf...thanks for updates...I got my confirmation nov. 2 and passed my new schedule A background/declarion the same date. I think they will wait for the schedule A background/declaration before they make our OWP

@rollingolf---I am planning to have a partime for nightshift since I am still with contract with my employer until august 2014. Maybe try applying anywhere, fastfood, groceries, etc. Oh I am planning to send my school credentials to one of the assessment for school credit here in edmonton so that they can give me a certificate for child care worker fo daycares since I finished Early childhood education in the country I came from. Philippines.

how about u what is your plan? and also can I know what country you came from? thanks

I would like to work anywhere but being a nanny. I have a dream job, I want to be a barrista at Starbucks since I love Starbucks and coffee so much. I know that it won't be a good pay job. I might work there part time.

I used to work as an excutive assistant back home so I may try to apply for an assistant job here as well. I would keep all my options open...retail job, cashier or waitress job.

You could be a teacher since you have a degree in childhood education

Hi, I got the email from CIC today saying they received my application on August 23, one step closer
The funny thing is I can't check on Ecas yet with the application number I got on that email, with any of the numbers actually, it doesn't show anything.
