I am about to lose my job. I have worked as LCP for my current employer for 2 years. I asked for 6-8 weeks leaves to go back my country for receiving the treatment which is affordable. My employer doesn't let me to go for that long.

My questions are

if I have to quit the job and go back to my country, will I have any problem to re-enter Canada?

When I come back I need to look for a new employer? Can anyone here please suggest me some agent here in Toronto.

I don't think my current will give me a reference. Will I still get a job?

Base on the current processing time for a new work permit is about 3 months + LMO 2 months. During these 5 months. Can I apply for EI?

Thank you so much! :)

Thank you job_seeker.
yes, I have valid WP & TRV.
I am now looking for a new employer, but I am not sure I will find one.

I think if you have contributed for at least a year, you can. I have work for 2 and half month for current employer. it is over a year, so I can apply for EI?

You can apply for ei if you have contributed for at least one year. You need ROE though from your current employer. Don't leave Canada without any employer now. You'd have to find one and get the WP but explain that you would have to have medicals outside of Canada. What's sp urgent and expensive that you can't be covered by medical care in Canada?

your employer must to put A in your ROE, if not u cant apply for EI.....SERVICE CANADA will calculate the hours and amount you contribute...You must to get an employer first before you go home or else you will start for zero ...i mean apply from the start....Back to EI.....u must to apply as soon as possible or else you will lose all your weeks of entiltlement.......they will interview you first before they will approve....base on my exp before...

I looked at the service Canada website. if i quit my job, i might not get my EI.

If I find a new employer, Can I get the job offer and leave Canada? waiting for a New WP takes 5 month?

You can call service canada and let them know that your employer refused to give you your ROE. And if they were mean to you or they abused you, you should also report to Service Canada so they could be blacklisted. Poor caregiver/nanny after you if they are abusive and don't get reported.

try to settle your problems with your employer,as i've said if u quit you are not qualified for the EI, dont worry about your t4 call service revenue and by next year (FILLING OF TAxes)they will send you a copy of your t4, bec for sure your employer will file your t4 too.

When you go on a vacation you need a letter from your employer that states you're just going for a vacation and will be working for them when you come back to Canada. If your WP is valid and you have a valid TRV and the letter from your employer then you should not have problems when you come back.

DANNA, Job_seeker is right, get a letter from your employer then apply also for re entry visa....your work permit and your visa does not guarantee you for coming back here in canada.....letter form employer is very important
