I have applied for a Live-In Caregiver from India to take care of my son & elderly mother-in-law, however the work permit was refused in India. Reasons given were that CIC wanted to know:
the applicant’s qualifications, including education and previous employment experience
the applicant's travel history
the applicant's financial means for the trip
the applicant's ties to his or her country of residence, including immigration status, employment and family ties, properties
whether the applicant would be likely to leave Canada at the end of his/her authorized stay
information about the Canadian employer and the offer of employment
Is there any way that I can appeal this decision, or does the person applying for the work permit have to answer all of these questions? My concern is that the email response from CIC asked for the applicant to submit another application for a work permit. If this is done - will it take another 4 years like this request has? Has been very upsetting as we need the help.
