Linking PR Card application to CIC account

Hi,

I was trying to link my PR card (first/after landing) application but the system couldn’t find any result. I tried different combinations such as last name/application number, uci number/name, etc but none seems to work.

I became a PR last January 23 and they asked me to resend a photo a month ago but haven’t heard back since.

I am worried that I might not be able to get my PR card before my vacation in mid-May. The process should take only 57 days according to the site but it’s over 2 months already. Anyone know how to link the application or know if there’s a chance to get it before the end of this month? I looked into PRTD but it seems like it has to be applied outside the country and might take a long time.

I never linked mine, but you just have to either wait until it comes, or do the PRTD once you leave. Not much else you can do.

If you call they can tell you what day they shipped it though (if they have). Ours took over two months.

I was just wondering if anyone has had the same experience as me. I was advised to resend my photos last month which I did. They received it on March 14th (courier tracking) but when I called the contact center, they said that they received it March 28th. I was wondering why it's so different. Although, I know that they might be delay between actual received date and parcel opening date.

When I called, I listened to the automated status of my application and didn't mention anything about photo problems or additional documents needed. But when I talked to an agent she said that my photo is still not according to specifications. I am so worried because my trip is coming in 34 days and I might not be able to get my PR card soon. I will be resending photos and include the old photo request letter (already days past the 30 day period from the date of the letter). I will also include a letter of request to expedite my PR card.

The agent said they are working on the photos received March 12th now and they might send me the request when it's my turn (March 28th - their received date). I don't understand if they already know that from the date received, how come they didn't inform sooner and wait until they process it before letting me know. Or could it be that the system hasn't been updated yet and still show that my old photo has issues? I'm still a bit confused about the information from the agent and the information from the system.

I read about the PRTD and it seems like it'll be difficult to apply for one (processing time) as I will be visiting a couple of countries for just a few days each.

We had the same issue about another set of photos. I was able to link our PR card app to GCKey back in early November 2017. It took us 2 months from sending new sets of photos to receiving the PR card. Had the photos taken at Costco.

Thank you very much for sharing. I just wanted to ask if it took 2 months to get the PR card from the first request of photos or the second?

Also, how long did it take before you get the second letter saying that the photos still are non-compliant? I guess I was wrong to even go to London Drugs for photos. I can't believe that even did it twice.

Only 1 request of re-doing the photos from the time we arrived in September 2017 as the photos attached to the COPR were rejected. Email received end of October and mailed the new photos from Costco early November. PR card mailed early January 2018.

Thank you. I haven’t gotten a new letter yet but that’s what the agent said. I’m confused and very worried about not getting it in time.

I also wish to ask if anyone has sent their photos to the Dorchester St address. When I called, the agent gave me 2 addresses, one was PO Box (the original letter also just has this address) and the other one was this Dorchester St which has a note that I could get a confirmation of receipt if I used this address. She also said to use this address if I'll be sending using express mail. Now it confused me more. I don't know if I want to send using the PO box or this address. The last time, I used the PO Box using registered mail (although their received date was 2 weeks later). Anyone have prior experience with this?

I also plan to send 2 sets of photos from different studios just to be sure. I guess this wouldn't be a problem?
