Hello,

I have query regarding education history in EE application. I have completed M.Sc and in my ECA Bachelor degree is showing canadian equivalency of three years bachelor degree while Master degree shows Four years bachelor degree in ECA report.

Now, what i select in level of education under education history.

Please help me in this regard.

Thanks for your reply.

so, is they increase my points by having two bachelor degrees as they have given in ECA report.
Disagree.

Yo do not have 2 degrees adding up to 7 years. They have combined your 2 degrees into 1 Canadian equivalent Bachelors degree of 4 year duration.

Choose Bachelors in Education history. There is a separate thread on this, check there as well.

Thanks Asivad,

Actually in WES report they have given two separate evaluation.

One is for Bachelor degree (Bachelor of Science) - WES Report says canadian equivalency : Bachelors degree three years

Second is for Master degree ( Master of Science) - WES Report says canadian equivalency : Bachelors degree four years

and there is one remark at the end of master degree evaluation "The equivalency for this credential is stated in conjuction with study previoulsy completed(see#1, above)"

Now what i consider. please suggest.

goodday,

i will have to agree with Asivad. based on the evaluation for both degrees, in EE you can only select Bachelors degree. however if you feel otherwise then you can take it up with WES as regards their evaluation.

As I said earlier, your 2 degrees are collectively (in conjunction with study previously completed) assessed as a single 4 year Bachelors degree by Canadian standards. You will have to choose Bachelors degree where asked. .

I also have a question. Im a Chartered Accountant in SA. WES accredited my degree as a 3 year Bachelors and then my CTA/HDipAcc as a 4 year degree so i will also choose that as the equivalent of a Bachelors degree of 3 or more years. But what about the Certification as a CA which WES does not accredit? Cant i put that as additional certification but not accredited? if not accredited will it count for points as i would have thought being a CA counts for more than a 4 year Bachelors degree? But then how does one complete the info for completed academic years as there is no transcript as such from teh Board Exams but you get the CA at the end of passing and Articles?

2nd question
Did anybody do letters of motivation when applying to any of the provinces to accompany your application? What made you do this if so? did you have to motivate as to why they should accept your application OR did you say why you are interested in that province?

thanks!

Another similar question..a couple of us are applying..so we have a challenge:

Diploma was taught in a UAE university(recognized by Edexcel) ..and final diplomasq awarded by Edexcel. .so ofcourse on the WES application we put UK ..since its British syllabus...and that was the only way to classify the required diploma.

The BSC and MBA has been done through centers or unis in UAE but awarded by the recognized partner university in UK...

how do we enter this into EE? I put all education as UAE, correct?
but I need to mention the names of the universities in UK..one course was distance learning (MBA part time while working), one was not (Bsc fulltime student in UAE).

the candidates have never lived in UK..do we mention anywhere in education fields or personal history ?

Yes. And be careful about putting in UK there. Someone else got rejected because they put in UK and did not submit the required PCC. Of course, they had never been to the UK, just like in your case, but the onus of establishing that is on the applicant. Either input UAE (which is logical because your institution was based there) or add an LOE highlighting that it was a distance learning course hence you never visited that country so you don't need to submit a PCC for that time period.

Yes that was the main concern for EE.
The btec diplomas clearly state that course has been done in xxx center in UAE.
but diplomas dont mention anything.
maybe will add a cover letter with education docs and ECA to clarify this point, if I cannot put it in Education field...otherwise will ask them to put it under Education as "MBA from University of xyzLondon, while course completed at abc United Arab Emirates" ..but the letter may help them explain furher.
