Good Morning!

I am planning to include letters of support from family friends and co-workers. Quick question do they need to put there contact number? Anyone here gave support letters as additional evidences? is there a formal format for it? Thanks!

Good Evening!

Though there is little chance of them actually being contacted, it always looks better to have full contact details on the letter, including the address and phone number. If the person isn't comfortable with that, leave off the number but I definitely recommend that the address be included.

There isn't a specific format, as it looks better for each person to write it individually, much more personal that way. They should include how long and in what capacity they know you and when they met your spouse. They should say how you guys are in a genuine and loving relationship, maybe describe a specific event that sticks out for them, such as your wedding (if you're married) or something like that. It doesn't need to be over-the-top, like "Their love is like magic, destined to be forever"; believe it or not, one of my partner's friends actually said that in the letter she wrote for us. The whole letter sounded like that, too ridiculous to actually include in our app lol.

There isn't really a set amount; try for quality over quantity, ask those closest to you and most familiar with your relationship. As I recall, we included letters from both sets of parents, one from my uncle because he had met up with us several times in the years we spent living outside of Canada and a couple from our closest friends.

We didn't have letters of support per se, so we submitted comments from our wedding guest book and transcribed some speeches from the wedding video. Most of our guests knew us from infancy or adolescence which we felt gave it a lot of weight.
