I am going to apply PR under FSW 2014 program in 2173 NOC.
CIC says I have to submit copies of letters of reference from all my employers for the past 10 years.
But I have 12.75 years of experience in Software development.
So is it enough to send only last 10 years of employee reference letter or my whole experience i.e 12.75 years of employee reference letter?

My current employer would not give experience letter mentioning designation, period, roles, responsibilities etc that are needed by CIC in the letter pad. Are there any alternate options available?

Kindly reply

Thanks,
Rajakumar

Then how your employment can be proved? do you have salary slips of ten years? job contract? bank statements showing the salary came to your account.

For current employer you could ask a bonafide certificate...which will contain some details like salary desig and joing dates..which will be on company letter pad.for job duties get it from immediate manager on plain paper attach mangers I'd card / business card etc....if you have got a letter from HR that they won't be giving the docs..attach the mail as well...attach salary slip joining & promotion letters as well...
One more point...do add a covering letter explaining your situation as well....best of luck

If CIC ask for the last 10 years, then that is what they want, not 12.75 or 8.46..What is not to understand?
Why would your current employer not do that? In that case write it up yourself and give it to your boss to sign.

sorry but i see this on CIC

2173 Software engineers and designers 1,000

it shows cap filled out :( ......

I have been working for 8 years in my current employer and I had worked for 2 years in my previous employer.
My current employer is my second employer.

I am having relieving letter, experience letter mentioning my roles, responsibilities, technologies that I worked, pay slips, offer letter, promotion letter etc from my previous employer.

I got bonafide employee certificate from my current employer and I have payslips, promotion letter, offer letter, PF statements etc from my current employer except the document to prove my roles and responsibilities of my job. I can get my roles and responsibilities of my present job only after I resign from my current company. Even I personally talk to my immediate manager for my job's roles and responsibilities, but he is not ready to help me.
So will CIC accept if I give self declaration of my current job's roles and responsibilities in addition to my current employer's bonafide employee certificate, payslips, promotion letter, offer letter, PF statements etc?

Kindly advise me.

I also realized now that NOC codes 2171 & 2172 are matching to my profile. Let me try in the NOC codes 2171 & 2172 also.

Unfortunately CIO doesn't accept self-attested duties.

You job dutes should be provided:
1. In company's official reference letter on a letterhead
2. In a letter given by immidiate supervisor
2. In a letter given by a colleague/colleagues

And each evidence is obviously weaker that the previous one.

To get to know if it worked for someone you may search this forum. Unfortunatelly this topic is being invariably raised every couple of days

Finally I will get a reference letter for my roles and responsibilities from my manager.
Is it enough to submit copy of this reference letter to CIC?

I am reporting to my current manager for the last 3.5 years only out of 8 years of my tenure in my current company.
My current manager can give only the roles and responsibilities of what I am doing during his period.
To show my roles and responsibilities that I was performed before 3.5 years, I need to contact my previous 2 mangers and get the reference letters.
Unfortunately both of them left from my current employer.
So should I need to get the reference letter from my previous 2 managers or can I give the self declaration of my roles and responsibilities that I was performed before 3.5 years with a notary public affidavit stating my situation in a note to CIC?
The bad part is I did not have my previous 2 managers contact details.
Kindly clarify

CIC doesn't accept self-declarations. If you want points for the years you have worked then you need roles and responsibility letters covering all of your roles. If your managers are no longer with the company, you should ask your Human Resources department to provide these letters to you.

If HR is not giving the letter...ask them to send it on mail...which you should attach.. With application...I had seen someone in the group who did that and it worked...try to get reference letter from colleagues or any client..for the rest of the period..

Have you tried searching for your previous managers in linked in or facebook!!

I will get my previous manager's contact details in LinkedIn or facebook or other means.
Can I get their reference letter from their personal email id whoever in abroad and submit it to CIC? Will CIC accepts it?

No, your reference letter must be a hard copy drawn as per CIC requirements only.
However, since CIC requires copies of the original letters for the initioal asessment, you may ask this person to send you scanned copy of the letter.
