Hi Guys,

I am looking for to sponsor my father on visit visa (not super visa) just for three to four months. I know I have to sent invitation letter in this regard. I have following questions. He will submit the application in home country.

- Whether original invitation letter is required with application or I sent a scanned copy through email and they will print there for application.
- Do we need to mentioned exact data of departure and arrival, so then I have to book tickets from now. Or should I just mentioned that he will come in May in 2015 and will return in Sept 2015 and no need to mentioned exact data.
- Do I need to send my bank statement, if so whether last month balance is enough or do I need to send my T4 as well for financial proof.
- Whether my father bank statement will be required as well.
- Do Employment letter is required as well?
- Do any body have sample invitation letter.

Please advise in this regard.

You can send the invitation letter by email or fax to your father.

- Do we need to mentioned exact data of departure and arrival, so then I have to book tickets from now. Or should I just mentioned that he will come in May in 2015 and will return in Sept 2015 and no need to mentioned exact data.
No need to book a ticket in advance (doesn't make sense). In the invitation letter you can simply mention the duration of his stay e.g "He will be visiting Canada from may 2015 to Sept 2015....etc etc...bla bla whatever you choose to write.

- Do I need to send my bank statement, if so whether last month balance is enough or do I need to send my T4 as well for financial proof.

Remember your father is the main applicant and he will be assessed not you. Simply mentioning your job title, home address, your spouse job title (if she is working) in the invitation letter and attaching your identity document (passport, PR etc whatever), your birth certificate or any document to prove your relationship with your father will be more than enoff. you can attach your bank statement (past 3-4 months) if you want.

- Whether my father bank statement will be required as well.
Yes because they want to see the financial stability of your father and his ties to his home country.

- Do Employment letter is required as well?
Your employment letter: NO. Your father Employment letter :Yes if he is working or doing a job

- Do any body have sample invitation letter.
I dont think it is difficult to write 2,3 paragraphs in which you are inviting your father. it is not a legal document it is just a simple letter in whic you give your details and state that your father is visiting canada and during his stay he will be living with you (means you will provide him with accommodation and food).

Hope it helps

THIS IS JUST A SAMPLE LETTER! YOU HAVE TO WRITE THE PURPOSE OF THE VISIT.

Dear Visa Officer:

My name is ____________, a Permanent Resident of Canada with client ID number ________. I live with my husband _________, a Canadian and my son _________ at ____________. I am currently here in the Philippines for a 4 week visit and will be going back to Canada on November 17, 2014.

I humbly ask that you accept this letter of invitation for my aunt,________, living at ________________________ She works at ___________as an __________ and her contact number is ___________.

My aunt ______, who is now 62 years old, is the one who took care of me when I was little. She is the one who fixed my hair before going to school and prepared my lunch box. I owe a lot from her and she is one of the many reasons why I became what I am today. One of my dreams for her is to travel and enjoy the beauty of Canada while she can. I want to show her the amazing places in Alberta and share with her the things that I have now because of her. She would travel to Canada in spring or summer time as I know she cannot bear the cold winter in Alberta. I just want to apply for her visa now while I am here so I can help her fill up the forms and personally submit her application to VFS.

My husband and I will be taking full responsibility for all the expenses such as her airfare ticket to/from Canada, accommodation (she will be staying with us), travel within Canada, food and any other necessities for the duration of her stay with us. We are aware and respect the temporary resident visa status and we offer our personal guarantee that my aunt's visit to Canada will not exceed six months from the time of her arrival. Please see attached support documents for this application.
