Hello !

Today I recieved the following letter regarding my work permit application. (IEC - Working Holiday)

Bring this letter of introduction with you to Canada. It has information that may be used by the Canada Border Services Agency to issue your work permit

Dear X
Your application to work in Canada has been initially approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. The final decision to issue you a work permit and allow you to enter Canada is made after an examination by an officer in Canada. At that time, an officer will assess if you still meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, its Regulations and any other Canadian legislation.

Type: Permit - WP / Permis - PT Document number: X
Letter of Introduction validity (YYYY/MM/DD): 2023/XX/XX
Medical Examination validity (YYYY/MM/DD): N/A

Documents you must bring with you to get your work permit:
• a valid passport or travel document.
o Your work permit won’t be valid beyond your passport’s expiry date.
• a valid temporary resident (visitor) visa (TRV) or Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), if required.

o Your eTA is valid for multiple visits to Canada, until X. Your eTAnumber is X and is linked to the passport you used when you applied to work in Canada. If you obtain a new passport before X, you will need to apply for a new eTA by visiting www.canada.ca/eTA.

As far as I know, this is the last step in the application process, followed by the issuing of the visa/work permit in Canada.
What surprises me, however, is that I received this letter only two days after submitting my biometric data at the visa application center , although the processing time is supposed to be around eight weeks.

So now I have to ask, have I overlooked a step or is this really already the confirmation to receive my visa/work permit?
Can it really be that the processing time is only so short?

Maybe someone knows about this and can give me a safe answer. Thank you in advance.

It's fine. Your application has been approved. I think your processing time was short because you were from a country where the processing time has been shortened over the past few makes, or maybe you're just lucky!
You'll get your WP at a port of entry (airport, land border)
Congratulations!
