I will be staying to my friend's house in Canada he is a permanent resident already and he said that he allowing me to stay at their place for 2 years ( whole duration of my study). Here's my question, do he need to write a letter addressed to visa officer that he will provide shelter for me in Canada? do he need to provide also a scan copy of his permanent residency card?
