Check that thread above and by the way letters from families and friends is good stating the genuine relationship. Stat declaration is for common-law

They're not required, but they do help your application quite a bit.

Proof of marriage would just include photos from during the course of ur relationship, wedding photos, proof that both of u communicate regularly like: skype screen shots of conversations, letters (although not many people send letters in this day and age when we have internet), cards, beneficiary stuff, shared assets and bank accounts etc Basically anything that provides solid proof that ur relationship is legit. The more proof the better and the less questions the visa officers would have.

We included no such letters. Our relationship story is/was 3 sentences long, and we submitted about 60 photos mostly of the wedding/reception, but also included a handful from my prior visits.

While a letter is not mandatory for a married couple, it would still be useful to establish that the marriage is genuine and not just for immigration purposes.

I dont think its mandatory but yes we did include these letters from both the parents n got them attested by a lawyer too coz sumone told us that these letters have a positive benefit on ur application and can cut down sum time..

We included a lot of letters from friends and family. Our friends support means so much to us, and it really showed in the letters. It can't hurt!

A lot of this depends on how long you have been married. For newly married couples i would say yes send letter, but for couples who has been married a long time not necessary. It allreally depends on howmuch proof you have .I have only been married 3 months so yes i sent letters. If i was married for a good few years i wouldn't have bothered .Just my 0.2 cent
