I am currently employed, and have been for the past year(since I returned to Canada). I was promoted within the company, but I feel that I am sort of being taken advantage of and am looking to find another job/profession. At the sametime I really don't want to postpone putting in my Sponsorship App. How important is it to have a note from an employer? I would not leave this position before securing another one elsewhere, but a fresh employer probably wouldn't provide much of a letter, even if they were willing to. I am looking to have this application submitted by next week. On top of which, what if I were to change employers during the process? It would then render everything I have sent in terms of employment useless would it not?

So to clear up that pointless rant. Should I just bite the bullet until I get my wife here? Or would it make no difference if I were to opt for another job ASAP?

Well if you plan applying soon before you quit your job,put all the info in for your current job and the letter from your current employer. And once the app is gone if you choose to change employment that is your choice.Any change of status is mostly to do with your wife.Like if you married after your ap was in,if she had a baby after the ap ws in.As there is no income requirement for family sponsorship they dont really look at if your employed or not.As some people have applied with no job at all.
So i wouldnt worry apply then change your job,as to informing them of this there is no need for the sponsor to let them know.As if they do check which i doubt they ever do your social insurance number will tell them.
Hope this helps
